Lyrically speaking, the song speaks about an abstract thing, it can be said that it’s the journey of the thinking brain, it’s clashes with the heart as both the brain and heart sometimes tend to work in opposite directions as we all know. Eg- a person starts getting attracted or gets drawn gradually to another person or thing and that attraction and pull gets so stronger day by day that he/she cannot return if he/she knows that the one to whom/which he/she is attracted to is bad or evil or is a negative thing from which he/she should stay away from. But the heart's desire for that bad person/thing is so strong that the soul becomes a prisoner to the evil vibe of the negative entity to which the person is attracted to...now this person/thing,i.e the negative entity to which the first person is attracted to can also be symbolic of his/her own negative side(as every person has a good and bad side within him/her) by which his/her mind and soul gets dominated and his/her good side gets submerged by his/her own bad side...so even though he/she knows that that’s wrong, he/she can't help himself/herself because he/she has already became some sort of a slave to his/her own bad side.
Now if we consider the negative entity to be another person to whom the first person is drawn towards,then the song also speaks about the fact that everything that the negative person said before or seemed to look like before were lies and just an illusion to cover up his bad side. But by the time the first person realizes this,it becomes too late. So,at last the first person feels that this whole saga would end only with his/her own end, otherwise this dark phase continues forever.
